The 10th promotion of the Energia 24 Hour International race took place last weekend in Belfast’s Victoria Park and the Club had three athletes competing over the 1652m flat route. The 10 Mile road race as part of the Mile Marker series of Races took place last Sunday in Danesfort, County Kilkenny. Here Angela McCann ran very well when finishing 8th overall to win the women’s race in 63 mins 17 secs, great running. We also had good performances from Neil Proven 37th in 73:06

Ballingarry was the venue last Friday night for the annual Michael Cahill 10k road race. It was great to see the Club very well represented at this event with 21 Club members taking part. This race also marked a return to competition by Kevin Maunsell who has had a long lay off due to injury.

Sean Tobin competed in another 5000m track event last weekend in Nijmegen, Holland and re wrote his time for this Classic event when producing a brilliant performance to win very convincingly in 13 mins 56.22 secs. Sean heads to Germany this week for another 5000m race.
