The 4th week of this very popular event again saw many people increase their weekly total as they are getting use to the regular training runs walks etc all at their own pace. The recent weather has also helped many of us to get out for our sessions more regularly.
This series is proving a brilliant success with 150 athletes taking part. It is great to see former Club members from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and the 2000s taking part along with many of our current Club members. We also have a very good contingent from our friends in Carrick Road Runners, Moyne and Dundrum. We also have a good number of people who are not Club members but who are enjoying this sort of Challenge and doing it all at their own pace.
The Achievers Club has now increased to 90 members, which is brilliant after just four weeks training. Congrats to the following new Achievers: Afric Browne, Christina Fryday, Marie Laste, Ruby Carroll, Georgina Gilligan, Frank Lynch, Gareth O Keeffe, Niall Brannigan, Marion O Neill, Deirdre Patterson, Billy O Grady, Killian Whelan, Aine Ryan, Cathal Heafey, Frances Long, Ciara Meehan, John Laste, Honor Goonan, Karen Ferris, Edel Roche, Mary Walsh, Graham Browne, Dei Cliffe, Christine McGrath, Nessa O Dwyer, Hazel Robinson and Caroline Walsh.
The message to the rest of us is to keep the effort going, the finishing line is getting closer every week, while at all times adhering to the Covid 19 regulations.
