The Medieval Half marathon also took place last Saturday. Here we had David Ryan who is running very well at present, underlined his fitness with this very good performance as he prepares for his 8th Dublin City Marathon in October. In the race David took up the pace right from the start, however after 5k he took the wrong turn for about 400m and when he got back onto the route he was lining in 4th place and work to be done. David used all his experience and gradually worked his way back up the leaders as he reeled them in over the next 5 miles. Then just before the nine-mile mark he caught the leader and moved clear and he maintained the tempo all the way to the finishing line to win convincingly in 77 mins 54 secs, great running. Then we had Kealey Tideswell also running very well, great to see Kealey back running well again after a short break. Kealey ran very well when finishing 3rd woman in 98 mins 58 secs. Ian Paterson also ran very well when finishing 119th in 119 mins 48 secs.
