The 3rd race of the Kia series took place in Enfield, Co. Meath on Tuesday last, 17th May, over 5k. In a top class field Evan Fitzgerald broke new ground with a superb personal best of 14 mins 38 secs for 5th place overall. This is a 15 secs improvement for Evan over this classic distance and follows on from his recent wonderful run and PB over 3,000M in the MTU Cork. The race last Tuesday night’s race attracted an entry of 784 competitors with 322 of those under 20 minutes. The race also produced new records in both men’s and women’s individual races.
