Great Club performances in the Newcastle 5K

This popular event got the local Road racing season off to a great start where conditions were cold but dry. Conor Fleming ran very well when winning the over 50- award in 18:06 with Angela McCann winning the women’s race in 18:42. We also had good performances from Cian Flaherty 8^th in 19:03, Courtney McGuire was 2^nd woman in 19:09 and Conor Flaherty 10^th in 19:13, Gavril Corduneanu was 12^th in 19:31, Emmet Prendergast 13^th in 19:35, Kenny Brett 15^th in 20:25, Elaine Horgan was 3^rd woman in 20:57 with Suzanne Shine 1^st woman over 40 in 20:58, Vincent McHugh was 1^st over 40 in 21:09 with Aisling English 25^th in 21:20, Michelle Doherty 29^th in 21:56, Nicola Maunsell 32^nd in 22:08, Tommy Dunphy 37^th in 22:26, Roise Flaherty 40^th in 22:32, Sheila Perry 44^th in 22:45, Ned O Brien 54^th in 23:46, Noel Howley 56^th in 24:01, Neil Proven 60^th in 24:18, Bernie Hopkins ran very well when winning the over 60 award when finishing 80^th in 25:49, Andrew Mullins 84^th in 26:37 and Myles McHugh 101^st in 29:46.
