Well done to all our Juvenile Clonmel AC runners who competed over a demanding course at this year’s National Uneven Age Cross Country Championships in Dunboyne where the going was heavy and mucky. In the Boys under 13 race we had good running from Matthew Downey 74th and Sean Mullins 125th. Matthew was on the County team that was 6th and Sean was 7th County athlete to finish. In the Girls under 15 race Ruby Carroll ran very well when finishing 41st in a field of over 130 athletes and scored on the County team that finished 4th, great running. In the Boys Under 15 race we also saw good performances from Cathal O Gorman 70th and Cian Flaherty 82nd in a field of over 130 athletes competing, with Cathal finishing 7th County athlete on the County team that won Bronze medals, just missing out on a medal, still great running. In the Girls under 17 race Laura Cooney ran very well when finishing 21st and was just two places off scoring on the Munster team that won Bronze medals, great running. In the Boys Under 17 Race Conor Flaherty also ran very well when finishing 89th. In the Girls under 19 race Siobhan Whelan ran a brilliant race when finishing 12th and was the 5th scorer on the Munster team that won the Gold medals, brilliant performance. The Club would like to thank all the parents for all their help with this fixture, such help is very much appreciated.
