The SEC Indoor Championships for 2018 took place last weekend. Sean had a very eventful weekend. The most exciting event was the men’s mile, here Sean and his fellow college mate, Everett Smulders used great teamwork to gain high points for the Ole Miss team. Sean and Everett were in the leading group for the majority of the race as Sean coaxed the very best out of his mate, as he paced the event smoothly, with Sean winning in 4 mins 7.14 secs and getting Everett to post new figures for the mile when finishing 3rd in 4 mins 7.58 secs. Sean clocked 54.71 secs for the last 400m. This was the fourth straight mile win by Ole Miss Men with Sean becoming the first Ole Miss athlete to win this title two years in a row. Then later in the meet Sean was on the Ole Miss Distance Medley Relay going for their first 5 in a row title at these Championships, he ran the 1200m in 2 mins 58.43 secs and they were caught on the line by Arkansas for the title when finishing 2nd in 9 mins 37.08 secs, the sixth fastest time DMR time in the School History.
