This popular race took place in ideal conditions last Saturday evening in Cork with over 1000 athletes competing. Vasiliy Neumerzhitskiy underlined his good form when finishing 175th in 70 minutes. Then we had Donal Ryan also running well when finishing 204th in 71 mins 32 secs with Anne Marie Halpin, the next club member to finish in 220th place in 72 mins 28 secs. We also saw good performances from Nicola Maunsell finishing 275th in 75 mins 10 secs, Pat Walsh 388th in 79 mins 59 secs and Sinead Kennedy 485th in 84 mins 14 secs. It is great to see these athletes running so well as some of them were using this event as part of their preparations for this Sunday’s Boston Scientific Half Marathon in Clonmel.
