Results from Race 2 of the Inter Firms 6k Series kindly sponsored by Morrison BMW in Cahir. Thank you again to all entrants and the great support. The weather was much kinder to us tonight and despite the mid term we still had a great turn out with 139 runners competing. 4 people were within 1 second of their prediction and with many others going close it shows that course familiarity certainly helps.
Tonight’s race was won by Joey Feery in 20 mins 59 secs with Cormac Healy 2nd in 21 mins 42 secs and Ruaidhri Devitt 3rd in 22 mins 15 secs. The women’s race was won by Hannah Steeds in 21 mins 47 secs with Angela McCann 2nd in 22 mins 49 secs and Elaine Horgan 3rd in 24 mins 15 secs.
We had three teams who did not manage to field three runners and as such their entry to the team competition is marked as incomplete. While these teams will not be eligible for the overall division prize they will still be eligible for the team prize based on best team performance on an individual race night so plenty of incentive to get a full team out for next week.
