The Cahir Half Marathon took place last Saturday morning in very humid conditions. Jimmy Boland running over tis course for the first time ran very well when finishing in 75 mins 29 secs. Then we had Conor Ryan making his debut over this distance also running very well when finishing 10th in 79 mins 13 secs, brilliant running. Then we had Angela McCann also running a great race in such conditions when finishing 2nd woman in 83 mins 4 secs. Then we had Gavril Corduneanu ma\king his club debut over a familiar route and he too ran very well when finishing 16th in 84 mins 24 secs and a big improvement on last year’s run of 88:30. We also had good performances from Kealey Tideswell 27th in 89:34, improving greatly on last year’s run of 91:50, Vasiliy Neumerzhitskiy 40th in 92:54, Billy Moloney 48th in 94:35, Siobhan McHugh 56th in 96:49, Donal Ryan 76th in 100:38, Michelle Doherty rana brilliant race when finishing 85th in 102:58, a massive improvement on last year’s run of 107:29, Vincent McHugh 95th in 105:33, Neil Proven, showing no ill effects from his recent 24 hour run in Belfast last month also running well when finishing 136th in 115:42, Ned O Brien 150th in 118:16 and improving on last year’s run of 108:50, great running, Julie Tideswell 177th in 123:28, another athlete running well at the moment as she improved on last year’s run of 124:20 and Helen O Ceallaigh 213rd in 135:18. It was also great to see a number of our members taking part and running well in the relay event.
