Club members competed at a number of venues last weekend.
On Saturday Hannah Steeds competed in the Eyeries 5-mile road race. She was well positioned throughout the race that consisted of several uphill stretches along the scenic route. Then as she approached the 4 miles mark, she moved up to 5th place and kept that strong pace going to win the Ladies race in a new course record of 29 mins 59 secs, well inside the old course record, brilliant running.
Also, last weekend David Mansfield competed in the European Police Cross Country Championships in Aarhus, Denmark as part of the Irish team. David ran very well when finishing 16th over the hilly 12k route in 45 mins 57 secs.
The Buttevant 4-mile road race took place last weekend and Liam Kiely ran well when finishing 100th in 33 mins 20 secs.
